Serving Lubbock and Surrounding Counties
Providing Help, Creating Hope, Serving All People
We are dedicated to providing services to the most vulnerable and most in need in our community: at risk families, the young, the elderly and immigrants.
We are here with services to bolster and support their lives.
There are many different ways to support Catholic Charities and those in need in our community. Below are just some of the ways to help:
Volunteer: We have volunteer days throughout the year for individuals and families to get involved with. Keep up with us on our volunteer page and on our social media to see new opportunites and needs for volunteer days and mornings. Our Resale Center at 1505 34th street, can always use help with processing and sorting donations. We also have volunteers and interns in our main office throughout the year. Call us if you or a group would like to volunteer (806)765-8475.
Donate money: Financial donations allow us to continue to care for those in need in our community and allow us to bridge the gaps between grant funding to provide a holistic approach to service. You can donate online, by mail, or in person. Donate online by clicking here. Donate by mail or in person: Catholic Charities of Lubbock, 102 Ave. J, Lubbock, TX 79401. Donations can be designated for specifics programs or designated to greatest need.
Memorials and Honorariums: A memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one. An honorarium is a unique way to recognize a special person in your life or commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or holiday. Memorials and honorariums can be made both online and by mail. Please include the contact information of whom you would like notified of your donation—family of deceased loved one, honoree, etc.
Donate used clothing, furniture, and household goods: Our Resale Center at 1505 34th street accepts donations of clothing, furniture, and household goods. These goods are either sold or given to those in our community in need. All proceeds from the Resale Center go back to programs at Catholic Charities. We do pickups for large items. Call the store for questions or to schedule a pick up: (806) 763-8315.
Donations for the pantry: Our pantry provides both food and hygiene items to people in need. Donations of (unexpired) canned goods, rice, beans, and non-perishables are always appreciated, as well as hygiene items for men and women (soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.). If you have any perishable items you would like to donate (excess vegetables from your garden, meat, milk, etc.), please give us a call first, (806) 765-8475, so that we can make sure we have enough refrigerator space.
Donate your car: If you have a car you would donate to Catholic Charities, visit our CARS (the nonprofit we use to process donations) Donation page.
In-kind Donations: We have many events throughout the year that are benefitted by the donation of goods and services from business and individuals. This includes: items for our auction at our “Night to Remember”, snacks for kids during our Youth Summer Camp, Christmas presents for our Giving Tree and more. If you have questions about donating in-kind goods, please call (806) 765-8475.
Attend an event: Catholic Charities main fundraising event is “Night to Remember”. Night to Remember is typically held the first Friday in June. We will periodically have smaller events throughout the year—both fundraising events and free community events. Check out upcoming events to see what’s coming up.
Shop: Shop at our Resale Center at 1505 34th street. You can find unique items, great deals, reduce waste, and help Catholic Charities. When you shop with AmazonSmile, .5% of your purchase price is donated to Catholic Charities.
Other: If there is another way you would like to donate to Catholic Charities that is not listed above, please give us a call at (806) 765-8475 so that we can discuss it.
