Catholic Charities Hosts Inaugural Hearts of Service Gala
February 6, 2026 — Catholic Charities of Lubbock welcomed community members, supporters, and friends for an inspiring evening of compassion and celebration at the inaugural Hearts of Service Gala. The event brought together individuals committed to uplifting the most vulnerable in our community and highlighted the spirit of service that defines the agency’s mission.
The evening was guided by Kurt Kiser of FOX 34, who served as emcee. Guests also heard uplifting remarks from Bishop Robert M. Coerver of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lubbock, who reminded attendees of the call to be “salt and light” in the world.
Catholic Charities extends heartfelt appreciation to TXU Energy, the event’s Title Sponsor, for its continued partnership and support.
This year’s gala also honored individuals and organizations whose service exemplifies the mission of Catholic Charities—dignity, compassion, and love in action. Award recipients included:

Each honoree was recognized for their outstanding commitment to serving others and strengthening our community.
Catholic Charities also expresses deep gratitude to Board Members Lisa Mullins, Patti Douglass, and Amy Blazek for their months of planning, leadership, and dedication in bringing the inaugural gala to life.
