Children and families participating in the Catholic Charities Family Summer Book Club were treated to a special visit from City of Lubbock Station 1 firefighters (and their fire truck!) on Saturday, July 9th.
&nbsp;
Together the group read the book, "The World Needs More Purple People", written by Kristen Bell and Benjamin Hart.&nbsp; Afterwards, families were invited to visit the fire truck and learn more about what it takes to be a firefighter.&nbsp; Watch the video below for a look at all the fun:

The Family Summer Book Club met each Saturday in June and July, and is a collaborative effort of NFSN (National Family Support Network), FAYS (Family and Youth Success), and Kinship programs of Catholic Charities.&nbsp;
