The United Family Donates $20,000 to Catholic Charities Food Pantry

The United Family contribution to Catholic Charities Emergency Food Pantry will directly impact individuals and families in Lubbock who are facing food insecurity.The generosity of United Supermarkets ensures that Catholic Charities can continue meeting the urgent needs of these vulnerable groups.

The Catholic Charities Emergency Food Pantry is a vital short-term solution for low-income residents, ensuring that community members have access to food essentials in times of urgent need. From January to October 2024 alone, the Catholic Charities food pantry served 2,436 individuals, including children, the elderly, and those experiencing homelessness.

  “When people are waiting for food bank assistance or SNAP benefits to arrive, everyday counts. This partnership ensures that we can continue to offer emergency food support to those who need it most,” said Cynthia Quintanilla, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Lubbock.
