TXU Energy and Catholic Charities Partner for Fan Distribution Event

On Saturday, August 24, volunteers will distribute 1,000 tower fans to South Plains families, made possible by a $22,000 donation from TXU Energy. The donation is part of TXU Energy’s signature Beat the Heat program. For more than 25 years, TXU Energy has helped thousands of Texans stay safe and cool in dangerous summer heat.

 

The Walmart Supercenter at 1911 Marsha Sharp Freeway, off Ave. Q in Lubbock, partnered to provide the tower fans for this event at a deep discount and will deliver and help distribute the fans.

Fans will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, one per car. No pre-registration is required, but a short form will be needed by each car picking up a fan at the event.
