TXU Winter Warmth - Turkey Giveaway

With the holiday season in full swing, TXU Energy and Catholic Charities of Lubbock, along with support from H-E-B, and the Diocese of Lubbock, are teaming up to spread winter warmth to Lubbock-area families.

 

This year, TXU Energy is donating $10,000 to provide 300 turkeys to families in need. The turkeys will be distributed on Wednesday, December 18, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Guadalupe Youth & Family Center of the Diocese of Lubbock, located at 101 N. Avenue P. (the former Guadalupe Elementary School, across from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.)

 

Turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required. The limit is one turkey per vehicle.

 

TXU Energy’s Winter Warmth donation is the latest in the company’s long history of assistance in Texas communities.  The initiative helps provide food, lap blankets, hygiene items and more to our neighbors in need.
